MSOffice 2007 - Excel - Subtotal Function
 

I am a recent convert to the new Excel product and I am having difficulty
with the sub-total function. in a new workbook, the subtotal function is
available; when I add data to the sheet that needs to be subtotalled, the
function is greyed out and not availble.

any ideas?
