how do you store real time in excel when making an entry
Hello,
I want to store a date and time stamp in a cell when i enter a vale in another. For example: I have Col A .. called "id" .. in each row under that column i will enter a number and or letters I have Col B .. call it "date and time" .. i want it to store in the cell the exact date and time including seconds .. when the value was entered into the Col A Row 1 In other words I want to record the exact date and time when an entry was made from the adjacent column. I tried using NOW() but then when i made an entry the whole date and time was changed for every cell. I want to freeze (the date and time of every entry). The date and time for the each entry needs to be recored as I ener the value AND it need not chnage the rest. Can someone help? -- jhbarajas san antonio, texas |
