SORT BY: left to right

2007 version: I want to sort the above excel table Left to Right, in date
order. When clicking F1 for help it suggests adding the default Oldest to
Newest (which I typed in, this option did not appear as a default), but it
didnt work - Help?

I highlighted the above range as follows:
Home | Data | Sort & Filter| Sort | Options | Left to Right...........then
Sort by: Row 1 | Values | Jan, Feb, Mar.... | OK €“ nothing changed!
