Vlookup Maybe??
 
I have 2 differant spreadsheets and need to find matching data on them. What
would I use to do it and how?

you have in them, together with a clearer explanation of what you are
trying to do.

I need to create a column on Spreadsheet 1 to match the numbers from
speadsheet 1 and spreadsheet 2.

Vlookup Maybe??
 
Put this in B1 of Sheet1:

=IF(ISNA(MATCH(A1,Sheet2!A:A,0)),"not in list 2","present in list 2")

then copy the formula down by double-clicking the fill handle (the
small black square in the bottom right corner of the cursor) with B1
selected. It will tell you if the number is present in the second list
or not.

You're welcome, Mary - glad to hear it worked for you.

Of course, you could put a similar formula in Sheet2 to see if there
are any values in there that are not in Sheet1.

You can also apply autofilter to column B to enable you to focus in on
those values present or not present.
