Shortcut Key Date Format
I am trying to use the ctrl+; to enter the current date in d mmm format. I
can get a dd-mm-yyyy in the data entry box at the top of the screen but not d mmm in the cell. I tried using one of the "*" date formats plus regional settings but that didn't work. Any suggestions? TIA |

When you go into the Format Cell dialog box, select Custom from the Category
list and then enter the format you posted (that you want) into the Type field. Rick "Daniel L. Lieberman" wrote in message ... I am trying to use the ctrl+; to enter the current date in d mmm format. Rick,
That is what I have done but the custom formatting is not being applied for some reason. Thanks for trying. Daniel "Rick Rothstein (MVP - VB)" wrote in message ...
