I need to merge three cells (which I have figured out how to do) and then I
need to delete the 3 cells that I used to merge.

Please Help!

Merge then delete cells

Please don't merge cells! The archives of this group have countless reports
of problems associated with merged cells.

Merge then delete cells

Merge or Combine?

If you combined by =A1&B1&C1 or =CONCATENATE(A1,B1,C1) entered in D1 copy D1
and paste specialvaluesokesc.

Now delete Contents of A1:C1
