Autoformat issue
Hi
How can I turn off or disable AutoFormat in Excel 2007? I mean that I write the value in a cell then Excel take it and convert it to date format. It is annoying to me and working these kind of records. Thanks in advanced! jimmy |

Autoformat issue
Hi Peo,
Thanks for your answer. I have tested it it works. But here is some background: -I have an application which generate an xls file with full of values like this: 34e3, 32e34, etc. -When I open it in Excel it realizes that these values should be Scientic Format and change the format of the cell. Once it is done there is no way back. -A possible solution to import the file to Excel as text file during the process I can set the type of the cell to text but it is several steps so the users don't like it:( Any more idea?
