Convert Date format
I have a date 1/25/2008 and I want to format to 1/2008 with the format still
being a date not text so that it will pivot on a chart with that info. |

Format the number using the Custom option. Under Type key in m/yyyy

If you format as m/yyyy what do you get?
Note that formatting has nothing to do with underlying values. I tried that but when I pivot table the information. It is not a date
