Sluggish Performance From Excel 2007?
Is anyone else experiencing sluggish performance when performing
everyday tasks in Excel 2007. I have both Excel 2003 and 2007 installed on my machine (2 gig processor, 2 gigs or ram) and Excel 2007 moves like cold treacle compared to 2003. Are others seeing this or is there something wrong with my setup? |

1. Make sure you have disabled/uninstalled the Google Desktop Office com
addins (office button--Excel Option--Addins--Com Addins) 2. Update to Office 2007 SP1 3. Check that you are not using any full-column or full row references anywhere 4. Charts and VBA are slower than 2003 5. Calculation can be faster, but swapping a workbook between versions will trigger a full calculation which can be slow. 6. If calculation speed is a problem look at my MSDN article on improving calculation speed at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa730921.aspx Charles __________________________________________________ The Excel Calculation Site http://www.decisionmodels.com wrote in message ...
