I am trying to get a qty summary for unique item #'s out of an
orderconfirmation that looks like this. The item will appear multiple times in the WS for different orders. I found the pivot function which will summarise the qty's for each item but my problem is that if an order# is duplicated the qty will show (e.g) 7 and not 5. Is there a way around this? Like choosing unique order#'s in a pivot chart? Order# Item# Qty IR-0424-1 529 2 MIN-042208-M1 529 3 IR-0424-1 529 2 etc... Don't know if this will make any sense but any help is appreciated! |

Choose all unique values (non-duplicates) before you build your Pivot Table.
Use this method: Data Filter Advanced Filter Copy to Another Location Unique Records Only (check the box). Build your Pivot Table with this data set...
