How do I hide the Check Box number?

When I put check boxes in a document by using the forms toolbar, the check
box number is entered in the cell along with the box itself. I thought the
box number was just for my reference, but when I printed the document, the
box numbers printed as well. Is there any way to hide or remove the box
numbers?

Thank you!

Right click on the check box... then click on the outline. You should be able
to insert your cursor and delete the text.

Right click the check box and select Edit Text then just delete the caption.
