I am doing some complex excel work as a consultant for a company. Is there
any way I can ensure my name is attached or visible on the file at all times
to ensure credit is given for my work?

The word "ensure" is not part of Excel's security or programming capabilities.

Anything you do can be defeated by clever users.

I would hope you have a strong contract with the Company.
