When A CSV file is loaded into Excel 2003 it in a text format ie within in
the first column followed by commas.
How do it get CSVs to load so it nloads has a excel spreadsheet format ie in
individual columns

Data Import External Data Import Data then click on file.
Open Delimited Next Comma Next Finish OK.

If it didn't treat the commas as delimiters, then I wonder whether the
Windows Regional Options (accessed via Control Panel) are specifying the
list separator as semi-colon, rather than comma?
