Thank you for getting back to me you really are helping me. If it helps I could see if I can manage to attach the file or if you want to send me your e-mail address I could send it that way JulieD Wrote: Hi Helen can you type out an example of when it's rounding as i've not noticed this when i've used this method cheers JulieD "Helen Black" wrote in message ...- When I am doing the formula =SUM(H7:H15)*24 on my time sheet and setting the total to numbers so that it gives me the correct totals the formula is making my sheet go out I think it is rounding the totals up with having to multiply by 24 to get the sheet working right. Can any one help me get this right as I cannot have my sheet rounding up by as much as 13 minutes on some times. Helen -- Helen Black- -- Helen Black |

Hi Helen
62.33 is not the number of hours and minutes it's the decimal equivalent of the number of hours ... 0.33 of an hour is 20 minutes (just as .5 of an hour is 30 minuts) if you want to see 62:20 then use the formula =SUM(H7:H13) and format it to a custom format of [h]:mm Cheers JulieD "Helen Black" wrote in message ... on duty off duty total time MONDAY 07:00 16:00 09:00 TUESDAY 05:30 19:25 13:55 WEDNESDAY 06:15 17:15 11:00 THURSDAY 07:15 16:30 09:15 FRIDAY 03:00 17:00 14:00 SATURDAY 07:25 12:35 05:10 SUNDAY 00:00 WEEKLY TOTAL 62.33 I have formatted the Weekly Total as Number and the rest of the times as hh:mm =SUM(H7:H13)*24 this is the formula I have done for the Weekly total when it is adding 13 minutes to my total.
