Formula result not showing in cell
Hi,
I have having a problem with the formular i type in a cell doesn't respond by giving hte answer, however it just shows the formula like it is text.....how do you format the cell to show the formula answer. Thanks. |
First, hold down <Ctrl, and hit the key with the <~ on it a couple of
times. If that doesn't correct the problem, click in the "bad" cell containing the formula, and then: <Ctrl <Shift <~ Then hit <F2 Then hit <Enter. The first procedure changes the WS from Normal view to Formula view and then back again. The second procedure re-formats the cell to General, then re-enters the formula, meaning that the cell was formatted as Text before you entered the formula the first time. -- HTH, RD --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please keep all correspondence within the NewsGroup, so all may benefit ! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Leolin" wrote in message ... Either you are in Formula View or the cells are formatted as text. For the first, hit CTRL + `(back quote above TAB key) to toggle View Formulas on/off. For the second, Format the cells to General then F2 and ENTER to see results. If you have already done a great whack of these formulas, select all and EditReplace what: = with: = Replace All and OK.
