New subject for me: Whenever we input or import address lists from
customers, the hyperlink is usually active. We can click on the cell around
an active hyperlink, then use the arrow key to access that cell, right click
and inactivate the hyperlink. However, we can only do it one at a time. How
do we highlight a column of email addresses and then make the entire column
inactive? I sure hope that is possible. It will save us a lot of time.

Thank you,

Try selecting the column and:

Sub collum()
For Each r In Selection
v = r.Value
r.Clear
r.Value = v
Next
End Sub

Gary,

It looks like you have given me a formula or function of some type. Not my
area of expertise and I don't know how to enter it. Could you give me a
1-2-3 step instructions please. This is an absolutely fabulous way to learn
excel and I do so appreciate your help.

The material I posted is a macro. Macros are very easy to install and use:

1. ALT-F11 brings up the VBE window
2. ALT-I
ALT-M opens a fresh module
3. paste the stuff in and close the VBE window

If you save the workbook, the macro will be saved with it.

To remove the macro:

1. bring up the VBE window as above
2. clear the code out
3. close the VBE window

To use the macro from Excel:

1. Select the cells you want to change
2. ALT-F8
3. Select the macro
4. Touch RUN
