Add Level for Sort in PivotTable in Excel 2007

Looking to see if there any way to add level for sort within a pivot table.

Right now very simple PT in that I have dollar information for many items
for 2007 and 2006. No problem sorting on either 2007 OR 2006. There are new
items for 2007 and items for 2006 that are gone. If I sort on 2007, those
with 0 will be at the bottom, but this is when I would like to get all the
2007 0's to be sorted based on 2006 while the rest of 2007 stays based on
2007 data.

Very easy to do multiple levels in regular Excel worksheet, but not seeing
anyway to do this within a PivotTable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Add Level for Sort in PivotTable in Excel 2007

Hi Peter

I think the only way will be to add another column to your source data as
Year
=TEXT(yourdatecolumn,"yyyy")

Add this new Year column to the PT, and sort Ascending
Then Sort your Dates by Value
