Hi All,

What will be the formula for calculating the annual attrition rate?

We have separate rows for months where in we have Opening Balance, Closing
Balance, People Joined and People Left in different columns. Help would be
appreciated.

Thanks

There are several ways to calculate turnover.
Once you determine how you want to calculate it then doing it
in Excel should be fairly easy. Some different approaches here...

Calculate net gain at the beginning and end of each period you want,
then take as a ratio to number employed at the beginning of the
period. I would recommend doing this in the pivot table, group it by
reason for leaving, etc. Also take the same ratio for number incoming
and number leaving. I would also take LOE at time of termination as a
trend, so that you have more than one variable to compare.
