sorting imported data
Is it possible to sort imported data or another way to sort it?
For example; The time data is imported from another book. This data is in a time format that changes daily. Once the time changes the data has to be sorted by earliest times first. Therefor if I sort the list below A604 should move to be under A605, and A607 should be first. Along with A604, 53927/A5 and 9:09 should move with it. list A List B Time A604 53927/A5 9:09 A606 53486/A7 7:41 A605 53482/A6 8:41 A603 53923/A4 9:45 A602 53976/A3 9:57 A607 53920/A8 8:00 A601 73209/A2 10:39 A600 53921/A1 10:40 Thanks |
sorting imported data
Select the whole range of data (all the relevant rows and columns), then
Data/ Sort/ Sort by column A/ Descending if you want it that way (with A607 first as you describe). If you want it with the earliest time first, as you say elsewhere in your message, then sort by column C Ascending. -- David Biddulph "Doolee" wrote in message ...
