Can I separate two words in a column?
I want to separate the following:
State Florida State New York State Georgia State Kansas Etc... I want to be able to tell Excell to separate the word State and put it alone in another column or elimante it altogether and leave in another column the name of the state. Any ideas? Thank you again... |

Use 'Text to Column' feature under Data.

If you just want to get rid of that word State...
Select the range (entire column???) edit|replace what: State_ (State followed by a space character) with: (leave blank) replace all Jorge wrote: I want to separate the following: State Florida State New York State Georgia State Kansas Etc... Use a copy of your data for practice.........
