SUBTOTAL with a condition
I have a Quantity column and a Unit Of Measure (UOM) column. I just want the
the SUBTOTAL of the Quantity for a particular UOM but not all of them. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for the help! |

use the Sumif function as shown below . Please note UOM has to be on

If the user Auto Filters the data, is it going to update the sum to the

When the user filters the data, the formula should be able to calculate the
SUM only for the filtered rows for that particular UOM. Is it not possible to do in Excel? In that case you can use a data subtotal option or a pivot table
based option Option 1 Data Subtotal - if list is sorted on UOM then using the Data subtotal option you can add qty for every change in UOM.
