Slow validation
 

I bought a new pc (LG), a new windows Vista with a new Office 2007.

I used to use the VALIDATION for the entries in a collumn.

The program with office 2003 and windows XP works perfectly and rapidly

Now for example:
To move the cursor from a cell with validation to any other cell, it takes
12 secondes. Between cells without validation, it's very fast (normal).

Is somebody could help me (English or French)?

Hi Denis

XL2007 is slower than Xl2003 in calculating..

If you are applying validation to whole columns, then the range you are
using is 16 times as large as it was under 2003.
Perhaps you could apply the validation to a smaller range that covers the
area you are likely to use.

Thanks Roger

There's slow and slow. I can't use a program that take 12 secondes to move
from an empty cell to an others empty cell. I noticed that when i develop the
program the first time it was normal but when i recall it, i think a call a
turtle with it. For many years i use a validation for one column of 300 rows.

Thanks again but i will move back to my XP and XL2003 and return my laptop
to the store.
