Copy/Paste Special in Excel
I have 2 separate excel files running on two separate computer monitors. I
am trying to copy and €śpaste special€ť a block of cells to move the value but not the formatting from one document to the other. It will not allow me to do this unless I want to paste an object into the target file. The only other way I can paste the cells is a simple paste (by highlighting the cells and pasting into the new location) in which the formatting is carried from the origination document. |
Copy/Paste Special in Excel

This is the behaviour when copying between workbooks in two instances of Excel. I know of no way around it if you need two instances of Excel running.
