In excel my bold command doesnt work?

Dear sir
Im working on a file called abc.xls.
In this file my bold command doesn't work?
When i open a new excel file bold command work fine.

Any fix to this bug will be appreciated.

Thanks.

If you open the abc.xls file AND with it still open, also open another file
that you know you can do the BOLD command in...then see if you still
can.........if not, then the ABC.xls file may have an Event Macro in it that
is turning off the BOLD button and turning it back on when it closes.

When you start to open the ABC.xls file, if you get a pop-up asking if you
want to enable macros, click "Disable Macros"...........if you do not get
the pop-up, then click Tools Macros Security and check the "Medium"
button..........then shut down Excel and try to open the ABC.xls file again.
Assumption is, if there are macros in the file, you will get the pop-up and
then click "Disable Macros"........then see if the BOLD command works. If
it does, then obviously it was a macro that was causing the problem.
Problem now, is to find out which one and what other stuff it might be doing
that you depend on being done. If you get to this point and want to, go
ahead and send me a copy of the file to my home addy, NOT to the newsgroup,
and I will take a look at for you.
