Filtering Issue
I have a spreadsheet listing registered customers for a rewards card.
it includes customer id numbers, addresses and date of last use. the issue is that there are many duplicate addresses and duplicate names. i want to get rid of the duplicates based on the date of last use (in other words, only keep the records of the rewards card the customer is actually using, as opposed to the duplicates they have accumulated over the years). i've tried toying with the advanced filter and all kinds of sorts, all to no avail. any help would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks. |
Filtering Issue
If you sort by 'date of last use' and then use the Advanced Filter tool (make
sure to click the Unique records only box), why DOESN'T it work? -- RyGuy " wrote: I have a spreadsheet listing registered customers for a rewards card. it includes customer id numbers, addresses and date of last use. the issue is that there are many duplicate addresses and duplicate names. i want to get rid of the duplicates based on the date of last use (in other words, only keep the records of the rewards card the customer is actually using, as opposed to the duplicates they have accumulated over the years). i've tried toying with the advanced filter and all kinds of sorts, all to no avail. any help would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks. |
