Comparing times..
Hi I am trying to compare a set of times in one cell such as "1200 - 18.00" and then compare this time from another sheet with availability times such as "13.00 - 17.00" so that I can allocate the right shift for that person. What I want to do is to be able to enter a shift and then let excel accept it using the comparison, or tell me the shift is not suitable. I am currently using one cell per time slot. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks |
Comparing times..
My suggestion would be to use separate cells for the beginning and ending time.
Then you will find it much easier to check for availability. If you need more help, post back with more details ie, what does "one cell per time slot" mean? what does availability mean? Does the person have to be available for the entire time slot, or just any portion of it? -- Regards, Fred wrote in message ...
