How do you link two cells together and if 1 is typed into a cell I want off
typed into another cell?
Can this be done?

If you want the word "off" to appear in the second cell based on the
number 1 bein entered into the first cell try this.
In the cell where "off" will appear enter this formula
=if(A1=1,"off","") be sure to adjust cell referance to reflect the
cell number of the frist cell.

A1 contains 1

B1 contains =IF(A1=1,"off","not off")

Just a guess because your description is a little unclear to me.
