SUM formula not working correctly
I have a column of numbers that I need to add; the entry I have typed into
the cell is =SUM(J1:J27) I am getting back an incorrect total. The format for all of the cells of the column is currency, and the entries all appear correct as typed. The total should be $499.99 (based on "old-fashioned", manual calculation), but is coming up as $500.00 I have NOT used a "ROUNDUP" funtion in any of the cells. Incidentally, when I copy all the entries to another worksheet, but into a single row, then sum the row, the caluclation is correct at $499.99. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. |
