Excel VBA
 

I have found many many books in the market around the topic of Excel VBA. I
would like to learn the same but confused on selecting the right one... as
you guys must have learnt VBA, you are the best person to refer me the right
one.

IMO, "best" is highly idiosyncratic, depending on your learning style.

Sit down with a selection and see which one seems clearest to you.

That said, I tend to like anything written by John Walkenbach, including
'Excel 200x Power Programming...', and I also occasionally refer to
'Excel 200x VBA Programming' by Bullen, Bovey, Green, et. al.

Sitting down with one or two, or at least taking a close read of a couple at
a local book store can give you an idea of at least whether or not you like
the author's presentation style and whether the book has you in mind as the
audience (are they starting with too much expectation from you, too little,
quitting too soon?).

A couple that I've looked at recently specifically to see if they might
offer a good basis for the beginner and look good for it are
Microsoft Excel VBA Programming (Third Edition) for the Absolute Beginner
this one targets 2007 - using its interface vs earlier interfaces, I'd
imagine that the (2nd Ed.) would target the earlier interface.

Microsoft Excel VBA Professional Projects - Premier Press
This one also presents a 'ground-up' introduction to VBA programming

Both cheaper through Amazon than through Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.
