Pictures in Cells
Hi
I am using Excel 2002 Is it possible to place pictures in cells from file. What I am trying to do is find emblems for Baseball teams on the net and save them in some sort of picture format ex. gif, bmp, jpeg etc. and then be able to load them into a cell next to the teams name. I have managed to load a picture into a worksheet but the picture lays across the cells. Have finished up my Post Season Baseball Tracker but would like to improve the aesthetics with a little color and splash. Heads Up!!! Thank you KLB |

Thank you KLB If the picture fits inside the cell it is placed on top of and if it is formatted "Move and size with cells" or "Move but don't size with cells" then it will behave like it is inside the cell eg it will move during a sort and it will move with its cell if the cell is dragged around the sheet. However, this behaviour ceases once the picture lands on top of a cell that is too small for it. Ken Johnson |

Thank you Ken
I see now how it works. Sadly though it is limited as to what you can do. By the time I get pictures down to font size things become pretty difficult to see unless I bump my sheet up over 100% or change my monitor resolution. But now that I know how things work perhaps I can achieve a result that I can live with. Yours truly KLB |

This method may work for you.
Got to Debra Dalgeish's site for a sample workbook from Bernie Dietrick for adding pictures via selections. Allows for more than one picture to be displayed on a sheet. http://www.contextures.on.ca/excelfiles.html#DataVal DV0049 - ClipArt Selection Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Sun, 7 Oct 2007 10:55:08 -0300, "KLB" wrote: Thank you Ken I see now how it works.
