Return a blank
If i type in a IF function asking to return a value from a different page in
the same spreadsheet if the cell is blank i want it to leave the cell blank, but it inserts a 0. below is the function =IF('Entry Form'!$A$4="","",'Entry Form'!B4) Thanks Des |
Perhaps 'Entry Form'!$A$4 isn't really blank. It may have a hidden zero,
or a space character. And you're referring to both A4 and B4 in your formula. Is that what you intended? des wrote: If i type in a IF function asking to return a value from a different page in the same spreadsheet if the cell is blank i want it to leave the cell blank, but it inserts a 0. below is the function =IF('Entry Form'!$A$4="","",'Entry Form'!B4) Thanks Des -- Debra Dalgleish Excel FAQ, Tips & Book List http://www.contextures.com/tiptech.html |
