Data filters in Excel 2007 not working for one file
I have one file in which the data filters are frozen, and none of the
functions on the data tab (i.e. sorting) are functioning. All my other Excel files have full functionality. What have I done to this file and how do I correct it? |

Is your worksheet protected?
Have you grouped a number of sheets together (does it show [Group] in the title bar)? -- David Biddulph "Brian Toller" wrote in message ... Worksheet is not protected. It does in fact show [Group] in the title bar,
but not sure what that means. I do have several files saves as a Workgroup which I use every day, but none of the other files have this problem. Incidentally, I did solve the problem simply by closing all the files and restarting them .... but what did I do in the first place? Thanks for your help. If you have the same changes to make in several worksheets in the same workbook
(Say titles in row 1), you can group those sheets (click on the first tab and ctrl-click on subsequent). Then almost any change made to one sheet will be made to all the others in the group. It can be a very nice way to update common stuff. It can be a disasterous way to change stuff when you didn't notice that the sheets are grouped. To ungroup sheets, just rightclick on any sheet tab in the group and select Ungroup Sheets. Brian Toller wrote: Worksheet is not protected.
