Default Copy Formula

Is there a way to Copy a formula from one cell to the end of the rows with no
data.
I currently have a formula in cell B2 which I would like to automatically
copy down the same length as Col A:A.
The trouble is col A:A change length all the time. Is there a way to count
the number of rows require then autofill the formula to the same number?

Regards
Jim

Default Copy Formula

Hi Jim,

If I understand your question correctly, you want to copy the formula in B2
down as far as the bottom of the data in column A.

I don't know any way of automatically performing this operation without a
macro but you could try some short cut keys as follows:-

Method 1: (If there are no blanks in the data in column A)
Right click on cell B2 and then copy.
Press left arrow to go to column A.
Hold Ctrl key and press down arrow. (takes you to bottom of data in column A)
Release the Ctrl key and then press right arrow. (into column B)
Hold both Ctrl key and Shift key and press up arrow. (Selects cells up to B2)
Hold Ctrl key and press v. (Pastes data)

Method 2: (If there are blanks in the data in column A)
Right click on cell B2 and then copy.
Hold Ctrl key and press down arrow. (To bottom of worksheet)
Release Ctrl key and press left arrow. (To columns A)
Hold Ctrl key and press up arrow. (To bottom of data columns A)
Release Ctrl key and press right arrow. (Into column B)
Hold Ctrl and shift keys and press up arrow. (Selects cells up to B2)
Hold Ctrl key and press v. Pastes data)

When you get used to navigating and selecting with these methods you will
find them quite fast and you will find yourself using them in preference to
other methods.
