Excel 2007 Solver Error
Hi,
I am using Office 2007 Professional on a Vista Home Premium laptop. Every time I try to use the Solver Add-In in Excel to do my homework, it gives me the following error: "Solver: An unexpected internal error occurred, or available memory was exhausted." I tried upgrading my RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB and it still doesnt work. When I work the same problem on an old Windows XP computer with Office 2003 on it, the Solver Add-In works just fine. Please help me solve this problem. Thanks, MSM |

The answer should be obvious: use Excel 2003 under Windows XP until MSFT figures out how to get Vista and Excel 2007 working. Maybe you'll learn from this NEVER to use MSFT software until the first service patch is released. New versions of MSFT software are simply revenue-generating public betas. |
