Logarithmic??
Hi
I hope someone out can help me with this one. I will attempt to explain as clearly as I can. In column A I have a range of numeric values 0 -5,000,000 in increments of 25,000,000 (A1:A201). In column B from B1:B201, I have percentage, 10%. In column C I have a formula to calculate 10% of the corresponding value column A. If I select A1:A20 and the click the Graph button on the toolbar, I see a source data series represented in the expected perfectly linear line. I then click this series and add a logarithmic trendline to view a curve of the data. Now, what I actually need in column D is a formula that will calculate the values needed for me to show the actual points required to display a logarithmic curve, that starts from 0. Is their anyway this can be accomplished via a function? Not having a mathamatical or statistical background is making the this a frustrating problem. Any help would be much appreciated. Logarithmic??
Hi Gary
Thanks for your response. I managed to get what I needed by using a combination of sequential numbers and LOG function. Don't ask how ;-) but it took many hours to figure out. Thanks once again Regards - Grant |
