I have a worksheet that I have containing old prices and new sorted out by
part numbers so that both old and new are listed to roughly compare the price differences. some are dups some are new products. I would like to compare part #'s and when it finds a dup, delete that entire row, or if that is not possible copy the first dup to another sheet along with ones that have no dup. I have read about macros and filter but can not get either to work. I'm sure it is operator error and not knowing what I am doing. I have 23,000 rows of data to sift through. I did it manually last time on the 12,000 rows. even if I had to hunt the 100 or so new entries that would be ok cause I have new ones colored in red. I hope I have explained this well enough.... here is what the layout looks like, just longer. thanks. the slashes are to show separation of columns, they play no role. A B C D E F G H part # / description / blank column / qty / for / blank column / retail / dealer 123 part description 2.00 1.50 123 part description 3.00 2.50 124 part description 5.00 3.50 124 part description 6.00 5.50 125 part description 7.00 5.50 |
