Excel is not accepting any character entries
Excel 2003
A worksheet I made and now want to edit will not accept any character entry or editing. All options seem to be grayed out. This has never happened to me before and to my knowledge I did not lock/protect the worksheet. Thank you. |

all cells are, by default, locked. This only has any effect if the worksheet is protected. I suspect that either you, or someone else, have protected the sheet. Check under Tools | Protection and see if you get an option to unprotect the sheet. If you do, that's your problem. You may have a blank password but, failing that, you'll need to run a VBA routine to find the password and unlock the sheet. Not as big a problem as it sounds. Post back if you need the routine or search the Google archives for a copy Regards Trevor "Rick" wrote in message ...
