Array functions that I wan to update only on command

Hi,
I have a workbook with a lot of functions. One array function gathers data
from one column, but the column is quite large (can not be made smaller) so
every time I write just one new value it takes 20 minutes for the sheet to
update itself. Is it possible to have the update only by demand, say a
button, so all values can be added before starting the time consuming process
of trasfering the values.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried Tools/Options/Calculation/Manual? Then use F9 when you want
to calculate?
