I am trying to run the formula containing the
=SMALL(IF($A$1:$A$7=$A$10,ROW($A$1:$A$7)),ROW(1:1) ) function from this Microsoft Office Help link: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...CL100570551033 The problem however is that it doesn't work. When I step into the formula the problem that it tells me it has is that the logical value for $A$1:$A$7=A10 cannot be calculated since a range cannot be used. My question is: Is it not working for me only? First I thought I had an outdated version of EXCEL but I do have 2003 and apparently this formula should work with 2003. Please let me know |

Have you entered the formula using CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER as instructed?
It is an array formula so needs the above.
