Linking data from one worksheet to another worksheet
 

Ok, I am trying to have data automatically update from one file/worksheeet to
another file/worksheet but a certain sheet. First file lets call it Year and
a second file lets call it Department. The Year file is set up with columns
from A to K with headings like name, department, etc. The Department file is
set up with sheets that have a different department name on each one. What I
need to do is when typing the information into the Year file that depending
on which department it is for that it will automatically put the information
into the correct sheet in the Department file. I hope someone can help me.
Both files are in excel. Thanx.
