Formula
Hi!
I am trying to reference a cell that contains data such as "ABCD - Text". I would like to find a formula that would reference the cell but only take the "ABCD" (the first 4 characters). Any help would be wonderful! Thanks! Shannon |
Formula
=LEFT(cell reference,4)

Thank you!!! Is there a place with lists of all formulas as I find the help
search useless? "Wksht" wrote: =LEFT(cell reference,4) "Shannon" wrote: Hi! I am trying to reference a cell that contains data such as "ABCD - Text". A list of all formulae would be infinitely long.
If you mean a list of functions, does http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...528191033.aspx or http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...042111033.aspx help you? Just remember to add DATEDIF to the list. -- David Biddulph "Shannon" wrote in message ... Thank you!!! Is there a place with lists of all formulas as I find the help search useless?
