multiple worksheets linked to a master worksheet
i have several 'sub' worksheets which are all referenced (e.g. sum totaled)
on a 'master' worksheet. so far the references seem to be working - that is; when i change information on the sub worksheets, data is properly being updated on the 'master' worksheet - EXCEPT - when i need to ADD a row to one of the sub worksheets - when i do this, the row is inserted on the 'master' worksheet in the wrong spot. BEAR WITH ME..... it appears that excel is adding the row on the 'master' worksheet in the literal spot - by this i mean, that if on sub worksheet F (being the 10th worksheet in the whole document) i add a row in the 2nd position, excel will add said row on the 'master' worksheet in the 2nd position (2nd out of 580 rows). when in reality, it SHOULD have entered the new row in the 2nd position in sub worksheet F's data (which in reality is... say... row 335 on the 'master'....) - does this make any sense?????? have i thoroughly confused everyone??????? if you understand and think you have a solution i would LOVE to hear from you..... |
