Separate lines in Excel cell
How can I insert separate lines in a worksheet cell?
I'm using Excel to build a Tournament Roster ('coz it's easier to use than Word tables) and want to enter data like: Competitive Men Team A vs. Team B in a singe cell and centre the first line, left justify the 2nd and right justify the 3rd. -- BobO'B |

This might be better (I know it's easier!):
A1 = Competitive Men A2 = Team A B2 = vs C2 = Team B Format B2 to center Format C2 to right align Select A1:C1 Goto Format CellsAlignment tabHorizontalCenter across selectionOK Here's what it'll look like: http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/8844/alignhw8.jpg Biff "BobO''''''''B" wrote in message ... Tried CNTRL+ENTER, SHIFT+ENTER - not ALT+ENTER! (D-U-H me!)

Thanks, it IS easier, but there are other constraints in adjacent cells that
prevent using this solution. -- BobO'B "T. The Alt + ENTER will give you carriage returns but I don't think you can do the
center, right and left justify as you posted without padding with spaces. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Thu, 31 May 2007 12:11:02 -0700, BobO''''''''B wrote: Tried CNTRL+ENTER, SHIFT+ENTER - not ALT+ENTER! (D-U-H me!) Thanks!! |
