How do i add a new entry to an existing drop-down list in Excel?

I've named the list of options in a new sheet in the same workbook. When I
try to add a new option to the existing list, it will not let me rename the
new list (which includes the new entry) the old name.

Insertnamedefine, select the name and change the cell reference in the
refers to box and click add or use a dynamic range

Would you be interested in using a Dynamic Range Name, which would
automatically expand and contract to match the data volume?
(no vba programming necessary)

See Debra Dalgleish's website for instructions:

Does that help?
