Excel formula help
Hello all,
I am trying to create a formula that will take the information in the column to the left and fill in the cell with the information in the right column. For example, I have the following: R/C FACTOR 1 35 2 36 3 37 4 38 6 39 7 40 8 41 9 41 10 42 12 43 13 44 15 45 16 46 17 47 18 49 20 50 21 51 22 53 23 54 24 56 25 57 26 58 28 60 29 61 30 63 31 65 I need the formula to take the RC value that I type into one cell and put the corresponding Factor in the formula cell. So if I type 1 in the cell, the formula would compute it to be 35, if I type 30, it would say 63. How would I do this? |
Excel formula help
The following formula looks up data
=VLOOKUP(C2,$A$2:$B$27,2,FALSE) C2 respresents the number you typed into a cell. The formula needs to be in a separate cell. Note that the range A$2:$B$27. It is in absolute format with the $ signs. Suggest you see help for more info on VLOOKUP and also absolute.
