Is there a way to block the view of a formula in a cell? I want to have a
formula but i do not want my user to see what the formula is. Thank you for any help you can give. Kathy Markwith |

You can hide the formula, but the worksheet will also need to be protected
for it to take effect. To hide the formula: Select your cell From the Format Menu, choose "Cells..." Select the "Protection" Tab Check "Hidden" Click OK To protect the worksheet: From the Tools Menu, choose "Protection" Select "Protect Sheet" Enter a password if you wish Click OK Now, if a user looks at a hidden cell, the results will still be displayed in the cell, but the formula bar will be blank. Hi Elkar,
I tried this but now my user will not be able to enter data into the worksheet. Is there something else I need to do? You can "unlock" any cells that you want the user to be able to still enter
data into. Again, select the cells From the Format Menu, choose "Cells" Select the "Protection" Tab Uncheck the "Locked" box Click OK Re-apply the Sheet Protection HTH, Elkar "Kathy" wrote: Hi Elkar, I tried this but now my user will not be able to enter data into the worksheet.
