I am trying to build a file that has drop down lists with a specific
hierarchy. The easiest example of what I am trying to do is lets say cell A1 contains a drop down list of the 50 United States. Once a state is selected for this example say it is Florida - in cell B1 I only want to display Florida cities. I need to build this spreadsheet with seven different hierarchies all dependant on the previous selection. I can easily build the lists for the drop downs just not sure how to relate the selections to the previous/next question. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks. |

Check this site. Dependant Drop Downs. Debra D. has a site also (perhaps
this is it but I don't see her name, so not sure) that covers the same subject. If you have trouble, ost back. HTH Regards, Howard "JWNJ" wrote in message ... You can create dependent DV lists as you describe.
Takes some work but Debra Dalgleish shows you how. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlDataVal02.html On Sun, 13 May 2007 16:33:00 -0700, JWNJ wrote: I am trying to build a file that has drop down lists with a specific hierarchy.
