If your data is in two column format with the depth range in column A as text
and the content in column B as number, then select the data and: Insert Chart Column Finish The depth ranges should appear on the x-axis. Try this first: dog 25 cat 20 bird 18 frog 15 -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200721 " wrote: Hi I need help on this chart I have this type of data A B Depth Water contenet 0.0 - 2.0 25 2.0 - 4.0 20 4.0 -5.8 18 5.8 - 6.3 15 If I do use the line, histogram I loose the depth variation, since it considers the depth as text, if I use scatter, it does not recognize the text I want A (depth) to be on Y Any hints? Why not use the average depth for each data point:
1 25 3 20 4.9 18 etc...... best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme www.stfx.ca/people/bliengme remove caps from email wrote in message oups.com...
