Default Sorting in Excell

Is there a way to Sort merged and non-merged together at the same time,
without unmerging any cells?

hi.
all cells(merged and unmerged) must be the same size. you must merge all
cells to the same size or unmerge. this is good to 2003. not sure about 2007.
