Need formula or Macro Help
Would appreciate if someone can help me create a (Macro or Formula) that would.
Below when I enter: 07-01-01, 07-04-01, 07-07-01 or 07-10-01 Turn into below: 07-I-01-01, 07-II-04-01, 07-III-07-01 or 07-IV-10-01 (The year needs to be flexible since I must use this for the years to come like 2008-2020, something like that) Something where the quarters should result automatically to the month of each Quarter. The quarters begins: 01-Jan-Mar, 02-Apr-Jun, 03-Jul-Sep, 04-Oct-Dec |
Need formula or Macro Help
Here is a crude solution:
If the date was entered as text in D5 in the format YY-MM-DD, the following formula in another cell will return the result you want: =LEFT(D5,3)&CHOOSE(MID(D5,4,2),"I","I","I","II","I I","II","III","III","III","IV","IV","IV")&RIGHT(D5 ,6) This is all one formula. It may wrap in my reply because of its length. Hope this helps, Hutch "Atomic" wrote: Would appreciate if someone can help me create a (Macro or Formula) that would.
